It’s been awhile since I’ve shared the Songs In My Head. That is partly because I haven’t heard much to be excited about. But then again, they tend to come in bunches anyhow and not a steady flow.
Without further adieu…
The first Song In My Head is John Mayer’s new single off of his forthcoming album, Battle Studies. It’s called “Who Says,” and despite having a very simplistic message and melody, it’s catchy as all hell. And even though he’s been a douchebag as of late, I still appreciate his music.
The second Song In My Head frankly won’t get out of my head. It’s Britney Spears’ most recent single “3″. Never has a song about having a threesome been so damn intriguing and danceable.
The final song in my head is from the Foo Fighters–a band that I have had mixed results with over the years. Dave Grohl’s sophomore project was never my cup of tea, but every so often they’ve produced songs that I do truly love (“Walking After You”, “Best of You”) and this one, “Wheels” is no exception.

I never really thought much of the Foo Fighters until I saw them live at ACL one year. They put on a pretty good show.
I heart the new Foo Fighters song too. My only issue with David is that he has such a lovely voise, I wish he would sing more of his songs rather than scream them.
I woke up with something totally inane in my head but I have, thankfully, forgotten what it was.
I heard “Who Says” a couple of days ago online and was really, really confused. It sounded so disjointed and messy. Turns out some pop-up ad in the background was playing totally unrelated sounds that weren’t John Mayer’s fault.
#1) I don’t know who writes Brittney’s songs, but they’re like crack. Every time there’s a new one, it’s also gets stuck in my head. I’m surpised the Bush Administration didn’t use whatever her songwriters have against the terrorists.
#2) I also get Black Eyed Peas songs stuck in my head. Their new one is no exception. GODDANG YOU WILL. I. AM!

He does tend to scream a lot.
I think I’d like to see them as they’d put on a good show. But I’m still not a huge fan. It’s this weird in between.
Britney’s song is TOTALLY always on my iPod when I’m at the gym.
That girl is like a robot. Malfunctioning from time to time, but constantly spewing out FABULOUS pop hits.

For some weird reason, I woke up this morning with “The Sound of Music” in my head. I have NO idea how that got in there.
Yeah…he may be a douchebag sometimes, but the boy can write a fucking song.
This one had me in tears before the halfway point. But I’m blaming that on the impending big 3-0.
3 has been stuck on replay in my brain for a week now. So catchy but such a dirty song, lol.
I am embarrassed to say that Party In The USA by Miley Cyrus has been in my head for days. Like YEAH!
