- I’m starting to feel sick again. I feel like I keep fighting something off and two weeks later it’s back again…but not quite at full strength. I kind of wish I’d just get it and be done with it.
- This general feeling of crappiness is why you’re getting a “Random Thoughts” post in lieu of something more thoughtful. My brain is not working properly today.
- We ordered new appliances for the kitchen. The fridge came yesterday and was too tall for the spot where the fridge goes. Thus, The Mister has to take down a cupboard and the fridge will be re-delivered on Friday. I fear for my kitchen’s limited aesthetic quality.
- Yesterday, while in the car with Mom, she was blaring Christmas tunes. Andy Williams’ version of “It’s The Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” came on and my first thought was “this would be great for a serial killer movie.” Maybe me and Christmas music don’t mix anymore.
- Rocky the Dog managed to pull his stitches out, requiring an impromptu trip to the vet’s office on Friday. Turns out it’s okay, thankfully. I think it’s the ferociousness of his tail that did it, not his wandering mouth.
- Some days a cup of coffee is all that stands between me and falling asleep at my desk.
- Nelly Furtado’s first CD, “Whoa, Nelly!” is full of gems.
- I really want a netbook for writing and school purposes. I’m waiting until after Christmas at the very least.
What’s on your mind?

Don’t you think that Bruce Springsteen sounds like Andy Williams when he sings Girls In Their Summer Clothes on his Magic album?
I hadn’t thought of that before. Now I’ll have to go listen and see.
Beware- my dog had to get stitches under her arm for a huge gash and she ended up ripping them out three times!! It was a nightmare. Finally the vet said “I’m not stitching her up anymore. The skin is pretty much ripped to shreds now and they won’t hold anymore.” So we had to just let her heal with an open wound. We had to disinfect it twice daily and keep it clean, now she has a huge scar. It was a terrible ordeal. I hope you guys fair better than we did!
That serial killer movie bit sounds about right… Which is why, although it’s not about serial killers, DIE HARD is my favourite Christmas film. Violence, Bruce Willis AND Christmas music? Sounds about right to me.
And about the general crappiness: I hope it passes by soon. But, as you said, it never seems to go away; instead, it creeps back in, and leaves one feeling restless and ‘funny’.
What’s a netbook?
I hate Christmas music too. Well…most of it. One or two songs make me cry. EMBARRASSING.
Whoa Nelly is one of my all time favorites. Hope you feel better soon!
A netbook is a smaller version of a laptop but without many of the bells and whistles. It’s meant mostly for internet use.
I feel the same way about being sick. I swear I just got finished feeling crappy, and now I have a cold. What gives?
